We are so excited to be able to get to meet together again. We will have a few changes to our normal Sunday Morning service that we would like to let you know about.

Santuary

Phase one of reopening: Sunday morning May 17th at 10am.

Here are some changes you will see:

  • Children 2nd grade and above will attend church with their parents. We will offer childcare for 1st grade and below for those interested, of course your children are welcome to attend service with you.
  • Doors will be open as you enter and exit to cut down on surface that have to be touched.
  • Offering baskets will be set up around the sanctuary so that they aren’t passed around.
  • Sanitation stations will be set up throughout the building for you when needed.
  • Chairs will be set up in groups of five six feet apart. If your family is larger than that we will have extra seats available to add to your row.
  • We will stream our service live and we will record it and post it online after the service.
  • If you have a compromised immune system or under lying conditions that make a higher risk to sickness, we invite you to join us online but if you choose to attend the service in person please consider wearing a protective mask. We will also offer a drive-up option. You will be able to park on the left side of the Family Life Center where speakers will allow you to hear the service.

Your health is of great concern to us. We love you and want to do our part in keeping you safe.

We know you will be excited to see everyone and we encourage you to wave and talk with your friends but please be respectful of others as they are practicing social distancing.

We will continue to roll out new phases as weeks and months go on.

Wednesday night services and in person Sunday school will be included in the next few phases.

We ask for your patients as we work out the wrinkles.

Things that won’t change Sunday:

An incredible time of worship lead by a great group of men and women

The Word of God proclaimed with a life application teaching

The most loving atmosphere I have ever been around and the sweet, sweet spirit of the Lord filling this place

Calvary Children’s Department

We are so excited to be able to meet together again. We desire to have a safe environment for your children to worship and learn more about The Bible. To help ensure a safe environment we have put the following guidelines into practice until further notice:

  • Children’s Church will be offered to 1st grade and below of course you are welcome to bring them with you to the worship service.
  • 2nd-5th grade will attend worship with their parents or guardians where they will be given activities that go along with the message.
  • Drop off and pick up procedures:
    • 1 parent/guardian should drop off and pick up child to reduce volume of people waiting in line.
    • A check in table will be set up for the child to receive a screening and temperature check. Parent/guardian will drop child off at check-in table once screening is completed.
    • No parents will be allowed past the check-in table except for babies in the nursery. One parent is allowed to come to the nursery door to drop off and pick up child. Please do not enter the nursery room.
    • All check-ins will be completed by one of our volunteers to make it a hands free procedure.
    • For pick-up, 1 parent/guardian should wait at the check in table and a volunteer will bring your child to you with the exception of nursery babies. For nursery babies, 1 parent/guardian can pick up the child outside of the nursery door.  Please do not enter the nursery room.
  • Sanitation:
    • All toys and surfaces in our Children’s Department will be cleaned and sanitized before children arrive and as needed while children are present.
    • All volunteers as well as children will receive a temperature check via a no touch temperature scanner.
    • Based on the CDC recommendations, there will be a maximum of 12 children per class.
    • Children and volunteers will be asked to clean their hands with hand sanitizer upon arrival at the check in desk and as needed throughout their time in the children’s department.
    • Please do not bring children that are sick or show symptoms of sickness to the children’s area. If symptoms are present (such as signs of fever, cough, runny nose), they will not be able allowed in the children’s department.  This is for the safety of everyone.

We want to keep our children safe while still allowing them to experience worship and Bible Study so we ask that you help support us as we implement these new guidelines.  Please have patience as our volunteers adjust to our new procedures during drop off and pick up.  These guidelines are subject to change as we work through these processes so we will notify you of changes as they occur. We are excited to get back to a form of normal. We appreciate your understanding and trusting us with your children.

Wednesday Night

Out of an abundance of caution for the members of our church and community amidst a global pandemic, all Calvary Baptist Church worship gatherings are moved online until further notice. Please plan to worship online this Sunday!

We will continue to preach God’s Word, have faith over fear, peace over anxiety, and have joy amidst sickness.

We will continue to share important information about countless opportunities we have as a church to make God’s love known in our city and around the world during these days. Needless to say, you don’t want to miss these Sunday gatherings online!
